The AutoHeat project will help the industry generate miniature, high efficiency, highly flexible and space-saving 3D-printed heat exchanger modules.
about AutoHeat
AutoHeat was a 2 years project funded under Germany's Agent3D innovation programme, to advance science, standardisation, visibility and adoption potential of Additive Manufacturing. AutoHeat focused on miniature heat exchangers, with the following goals:
create autonomous miniature, high efficiency, flexible, space-saving 3D-printed heat exchanger modules |
speed up the CAD construction time by +50% with a software tool to create variations on a basic scalable structure |
standardise the 3D printing process through single-machine calibration |
identify business cases and use scenarios for multi-functional systems in current and new applications |
optimise the technology, cost & environmental potential for HVAC&R, fuell cells and IT hardware cooling |
create new industry networks and educational formats for engineers, research and commercial staff |
