our vision
The name "re-generate"comes from two different but complementary meanings guiding our daily work:
regeneration
... describes a process in which part of a system’s output is returned to its input in order to contribute again to its output. Other terms - revitalisation, renewal, rebirth - describe these natural processes in organisms able to regenerate part or even the entirety of their body. |
Re-Generation
... is a concept by Thomas L. Friedman, author of the thought-provoking book “Hot, Flat & Crowded”: "We and our children are going to have to be the 'Re-Generation', and summon the will, energy, focus, and innovative prowess to regenerate, renew, and reinvent... in a way that will show the world a new model for growing standards of living and interacting with nature that is truly sustainable, renewable, healthy, safe, fair, and creative..." |
re-generate promotes circular economies, closed loop cycles and industrial ecology. The design, engineering, use and re-use of new, better materials, technologies and practices are hence the first pillar of re-generate’s vision.
|
re-generate follows a vision where imagination, creation and innovation are promoted to balance out economic, social and environmental benefits. New ideas, products and services, as well as new working methods form part of re-generate’s second pillar.
